Just outside of la Roubine you can practise all kinds of open air activities in many fields.
Canoeing and kayaking
Of course the main activity of the Ardèche remains the canoeing and kayaking. This sport is mostly practiced on the river the Ardèche. If you want to make a canoe or kayak trip you must be 7 years old and be able to swim at least 25 meters.
Different distances are proposed: 6 km, 24 and 30 km (the last distance in 2 days).
We work with the companyAlpha Bateaux who will pick you up at the campsite and bring you back again; you only need to register a day before.
In July and August we also propose 6 km canoe trips with a guide who stays with the group and teaches you the basic techniques of canoeing.
Fishing
If you like fishing, the Ardèche is a true paradise. No need to leave la Roubine, we have all kinds of fish in the river: trout, carps, eels… At the reception desk you can buy your holiday fishing permit which allows you to also fish in other rivers and streams of the Ardèche.
In the high season we propose a free fishing activity on the campsite’s river for children under 12. They only need to buy a fishing permit for a few Euros which they can use all year round throughout France.
acrobatic trip through the trees
Another outdoor activity to be practised by the whole family, except for those who suffer from vertigo: an acrobatic trip through the trees. At Vertige Park you pass from tree to tree, without ever touching the ground, sliding, hanging and climbing… After a couple of hours you maybe finish the black circuit…
Conditions you must fulfil to participate: be over 1.20 m. In July and August we organise an outing to Vertige Park once a week and we have special rates for our clients.
